Shéhérazade #poem

 

In the war he had participated
Sultan Chahriar had stayed
by hard fighting, traumatized
then his life he had protected
.
with his hands he had killed
all assassins they sent to him
who in his sleep had tried
far too often to slaughter him
.
and when the war was over
he thought he was free from it
when his Dinah he had married
she ended a day cheating on him
.
her unmasked lover he had executed
he thought he had forgiven her
but that sad night he nightmared
he dreamed she was trying to kill him
.
by reflex he then murdered her
as he had no heirs to replace him
we forced him to remarry again
but of his death he still dreamed
.
his wives he ended up killed
it couldn’t last anymore forever
Scheherazade therefore decided
to save him sacrifice herself
.
on his nights she had watched –
but for that she must marry him –
and risk being massacred –
she had a brilliant idea then
.
in bed she would tell him
good stories to interest him
while she was going to exhaust him
of course by making love to him
.
of her stories were unfinished
so his dreams would be occupied
by them and he would be so tired
so in the morning he would wake then
.
without dreaming of death then
for a pretty well long time it worked
if we want that the curse was lifted
she still had to continue to tell him
.
very good stories for a thousand
more nights plus one added
for her security was assured
but her repertoire was exhausted
.
her sister Dinarzade had to help her
to find new good stories to tell him
it was not always easy by itself
but they finally had made it
.
so when this bad spell was lifted
an heir she was able to give him
and then her sultan was relieved
to have then a son to succeed him
