The Lady in my shadow #poem

when my wife’s past was revealed
we made believe that i saved her
of the disgrace in which I found her
because as an escort she had worked
.
with that she had paid her school fee
but that nobody had noticed it
so a diploma she passed brilliantly
and that’s when we met ourselves
.
I was at the university only to feast as well
so I was one of her customers regularly
with me she fell in love and took pity
because she saw an high potential in me
.
so when at the bottom i found myself
it was her who came to rescue me
I would have committed suicide without her
so despite her past my family accepted her
.
as it was obvious that she had transformed me
then gave me an air of respectability
enough so that in politics I can get started
so she was always there to support me
.
very intelligent my career she has developed
and my competitors she has always kept away
when her past exposed she wanted to quit
again she wanted to protect me and save me
.
already too often she had protected me well
and so by my side I asked her to still stay
so thanks to her I had been more than saved
by her love so a strong man she had created
