Old bio-machines #poem

 

our ship was making the long crossing
the speed of light cannot be exceed
therefore the generations succeeded
but in the middle of the long crossing
.
the air regenerators were broken totally
a solution we had to find urgently
the plans of a bio-machine archived
they should allow to manufacture it
.
in quaternary code they were coded
luckily we managed to decode them
its base cells have been synthesized
and these machines had regenerated
.
our air by purifying and humidifying it
and we could easily feed them
with a specified source of energy
and with decomposed bio-matter
.
the first machines were recreated
from them others we have multiplied
with them fresh air we were breathing
so how could we had given up them
.
as we were saved by this old technology
now for so many years they were working
with only a maintenance very simplified
in addition the machines have sprouted
.
and their ripe buds we can eat them
everywhere in the ship we have installed
these long ago abandoned wonders
and called at the time as the fruit trees
