Des espoirs profonds / Deeply desperate #poem

alors mon dernier espoir j’ai perdu ,
au fond de l’abime je suis descendu ,
mais alors là-bas je ne l’ai jamais vu ,
et en remontant j’ai repris le dessus ,
puis enfin cet espoir j’ai bien aperçu ,
finalement j’ai remis la main dessus ,
à cette instant donc j’ai vraiment su ,
que ma vie valait alors d’être vécue ,

so my last hope i had lost already –
at the bottom of the abyss I search it –
but then there I never had found it –
and when i was going up slowly –
then my small hope I saw finally –
quickly I put my hand back on it –
at that moment so I knew really –
that my life was then worth living it –
