une bonne gimmick j’avais trouvée ,
des sapins en quantité j’allais voler ,
par les producteurs déjà emballés ,
pendant qu’ils étaient bien occupés ,
j’avais un marché pour les écouler ,
et plusieurs fois j’ai recommencé ,
chez des producteurs bien variés ,
un jour ils m’ont piégé et attrapé ,
et mis dans la machine à emballer ,
dans un filet à la police je fus livré ,

a good gimmick I had found then –
I was going to steal lots of fir trees –
by the producers already packed –
while elsewhere they were busy –
I had a good market to sell them –
so several times I had done it again –
of producers i was changing then –
one day they trapped and caught me –
into the packing machine they put me –
so in a net to police I was delivered –
